The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) today agreed on the 25 sports it will propose to the 125th IOC Session for approval as the core sports for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. Taekwondo remains an Olypmpic sport!

But what about negotiations with ITF? Is this decision og IOC EB something that is going to close the doors for eventual introducing of ITF in WTF family? If WTF will continue with talks to ITF which ITF organization will be choosen as official ITF?

Whatever the answers on those questions are this might be the last chance for ITF to become recognized sport. All fractions must be as one and decide on a cooperation model ASAP. Whoever will be the one to talk to WTF has a great historic chance and responsibility but most of all must have strongholds in every single ITF organization active at the moment. Good luck ITF!

The 25 Olympic sports are: athletics, rowing, badminton, basketball, boxing, canoeing, cycling, equestrian, fencing, football, gymnastics, weightlifting, handball, hockey, judo, aquatics, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, shooting, archery, triathlon, sailing and volleyball.
